Manager of Private Events, Publican Quality Meats - Opening
One Off Hospitality seeks an experienced and organized self-starter for the role of Manager of Private Events for Publican Quality Meats and the Publican restaurant. This is a full-time (50 hour per week) position.
Position Summary:
- Manage all aspects of private dining for Publican Quality Meats
- Manage all aspects of private events for the Publican
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Drive private dining sales – meeting and exceeding sales goals, including acquiring new business
- Familiarity with contracts and booking procedures
- Knowledge of event verbiage and common practices
- Supervise events and event staff with high expectations for impeccable food, service and ambiance
- Correspond with potential and existing clients: strong communication skills required
- Maintain set office hours and evening hours as needed
- Flexibility in schedule required – attendance required at special events and some weekend events
- Will work closely with chefs and managers on daily basis:
- Knowledge of seasonal food items, their origins and uses; wine and beer knowledge; and familiarity with specialty butcher items
- Knowledge and tracking of food & beverage sales
- Money handling, including cash and credit card sales
- Creative marketing of the catering program to acquire new business
Minimum Qualifications (Education, Experience, Skills)
- One (1) year experience in private dining or catering sales
- Willingness to work mornings, evenings and weekends as required.
- Clear and organized record keeping, including basic computer skills
- Knowledge and experience with service methods and wine service (i.e. the ability to “jump in” if needed during an event)
- Strong time management skills and ability to juggle many tasks at once
- Familiarity with Aloha
